Another fabulous day in paradise!!!!! Have been really busy making art glass panels as you can see by my NEW flickr account which my very talented daughter did for me........now I just have to remember how to use it..which is quite a challenge for me....I have 2 more panels to put together and then plan on spending some time at the torch to make some beads...have some orders for earrings and such..will post some jewellery stuff when I get some more things made...

This is one of my latest creations that I am submitting into a competition. It was a very challenging piece. Hence the lack of posting on here. Now I am all back up and running and will continue to update this blog thing on a more regular basis. (Does this sound familiar?...)

Can't believe it's March already..I've been to Mexico for a bit of a holiday...fun & sun.. skiing has taken up some time..the snow is fantastic!!! Also been working on a large panel & delivered it today. will try & post a pic. of it and some pics of my latest works..I finally got out the torch yesterday and made some beads...have to get going and make some more bracelets...Only have 2 months to work before we are off to England, Scotland & Ireland...well someone has to do it....

Can you believe it.. it's been almost a year since I last posted something...actually it was my computer whiz daughter who did it all for me and now I am trying it on my own.. I've been busy in the studio..making glass beads, doing some silversmithing (by trial & error mostly, and a few good books to help me.. Anyways, I will try & post some pics of what I am doing...We have opened an Etsy Shop to flogg our wares.. my daughter does children's clothes made from hemp, also a home line ..napkins,and the coffee-cozy.. a re-usuable sleeve for your take-out coffee..(more on that later)

...I may be snowed in by tomorrow & have lots of time in the studio

Here is a piece of my recent work. I make them in different colours, usally in the same family range, also use glass nuggets, marbles, etc. in the centre. Just made one in different shades of yellows and golds, with large nuggets, the size is 35 inches by 20 inches. I have been doing glass works for about 30 years now, learned in Montreal..

Spring into Summer...


So summer is in full swing here & we haven't had any downtime whatsoever. I have been selling at the weekly artists market at the Arts Centre. Every Thursday afternoon and it is finally starting to pay off. I will also be participating in the open studio tour in September so there is lots in the works for that opportunity.

I Know it's Been a While!!!

Seems like eons ago but I am finally back.
We took a little trip a few weeks back and it was great.

I know nobody is looking at this yet but to keep me honest about blogging I decided to update anyways.
I have been pretty busy these last few. First with the Grandkids as it has been Spring Break here. Then we took a little trip up to Whistler to do some skiing. I've also been thinking about starting a little shop on Etsy which I will get to in the coming weeks. I am really looking forward to it. So glad spring is finally here, too!

Here I am not knowing what I m really doing...
I am new to blogging and thought I should give it a try and see what all the jibber-jabber is about.
I have been doing glass work for 30 years, kiln glass for 13 and lampwork for a year. It's been a great creative journey....so far to go...
What to say, so little time.
This blog is intended to be my personal/public forum of all things I've created in glass (and sometimes other medium). When I figure out how to post pictures (soon, I hope...) then I will. Feel free to comment &/or contact me with ideas or questions you may have. I will try to answer as quickly as possible.
