Bead Peeps Swap & Hop 2017

I know the date says Friday but I actually posted Saturday just after midnight!!

Time has come for the Bead Peeps Swap N Hop  Thanks to our hostess Linda Anderson and all her helpers.

My very gracious bead peeps partner was Robin Kae Reed.. My oh my  she did send me a boat load of fabulous and I do mean fabulous semi-precious stones, metal charms, beads,  etc. and I will let the photo do the rest..  so many lovely things !

Love these turquoise stones.. my birthstone also..

I think these are called daggers. I combined them with some dark blue crystals..strung on black rubber

I like to do lots of wire work.  That is sort of a signature feature  of mine.  In order to keep this blog short and sweet I  will not got into a lot of detail describing how I made each piece (also I do not know the names of all the stones. 

I tried to use at least a good sampling of the stones, etc. that Robin sent..

My beads are here!!!! 

And what a fantastic selection was sent by Robin Kae Reed... Just like Christmas opening her parcel...I can hardly wait to get started designing with them.  Already have lots of ideas... Everything will have to  be BIG and Bold.. Some seriously big fabulous pieces of gemstone beads...

Hello friends... I have been so busy teaching at the  Rotary Centre for the Arts that I have had hardly any time to write..  The weather has not been great..
Lots of snow this year and the deer problem is still going on!! They are bound and determined to get in our yard.

Just waiting for my package to come from Robin Kae Reed... then to get busy designing my pieces for the Bead Peep Swap...I know I will get some lovelies from Robin.. judging from her fab work...
Had 2 lovely ladies for my stained glass mini workshop this morning and getting ready for my mosaic class Monday night.. still have 1 space left if any wants to come!!

Signed up for Bead Peeps 3rd Annual Swap N Hop... so excited!  International partners will be revealed Friday morning... I am leaving for Mexico very early Saturday morning so will not be able to mail out my beads until I get back on the 14 of Feb.  Just getting a few things together now.

As far as what I like:  love the colors: turquoises, lime green, teals together. and then like oranges, pinks, purples together. And of course black & white.
As for metals my fav is copper, then silver, then black.
Love all kinds of stones, semi-precious in the above colors, lamp work beads.
